A group of veterans enjoyed the great outdoors Saturday.
Noxen, Pennsylvania- Patriots Cove near Noxen gives veterans and active duty members of the military the opportunity to be together. People travel great lengths to be part of something they can't find anywhere else.
The Cove, just off Route 29 protects the environment, while serving veterans, fire responders and their caregivers.
Volunteers help those who visit around the 18 acre property.
"I'm a guide for them, I help them, we talk and we connect and hopefully they get to relax and heal a little bit," said Army Veteran John Stegura, Volunteer at the Cove.
"I've never taken part in anything kind of like this. Just the fact you know these people are willing to go out of their way," said U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class, Chris Carr.
